Kenya’s education sector is currently undergoing significant reforms with far-reaching implications. These include, but are not limited to, the implementation of the Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC) to replace the traditional 8-4-4 system, and the 100% transition policy from primary to secondary education.
In response to these developments, the five-year Strategic Plan (2022–2027) has been developed through an inclusive and participatory process, aiming to identify key strategic issues, outline objectives, and propose solutions to address the challenges facing all core areas of the school’s development.
As key stakeholders, parents must recommit and collaborate more closely with teachers, school leadership, and the broader community to uphold and strengthen the school’s position throughout the implementation period and beyond.
Given the rising student enrollment—driven by the school’s strong academic performance, exemplary discipline, and excellence in co-curricular activities—it is evident that additional resources will be necessary to expand both physical and academic infrastructure. Likewise, increased enrollment calls for enhanced human resource capacity to meet growing demands.
I am confident that, with a well-developed implementation matrix, strong administrative structures, and supportive stakeholder engagement, the school is well-positioned to roll out the strategic initiatives and achieve the set objectives.
In closing, I wish to extend my heartfelt congratulations to all contributors involved in the development of this Strategic Plan. Your commitment and effort are commendable.
Let us unite in supporting the successful implementation of this Strategic Plan for the continued growth and excellence of Catholic Diocese Ngong Township Secondary School.
